As seen in the new trailer for “Killing Eve,” the fourth and final season starts at the end of this month and wraps up a story that is years in the making. After all of the ups and downs between Eve (Sandra Oh) and psychopathic assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer), we learn how everything is going to play out. Will it be rainbows and unicorns? Highly unlikely, as the trailer gives us a fair amount of violence and bloodshed, along with a healthy dose of comedy, the unique mixture the series has become known for.

As in tradition, a new season of “Killing Eve” brings a new head writer to lead the series. Given the success that the previous head writers have gone on to have, such as Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Emerald Fennell, and Suzanne Heathcote, you have to imagine Laura Neal is feeling just a bit of pressure to help bring the story home.

“Killing Eve” is by far the most acclaimed BBC America series in the network’s history. Each of the three seasons has earned multiple Primetime Emmy Awards, with the last two seasons earning noms for Best Drama Series, as well as acting noms for Comer and Oh. Comer actually won the Best Actress in a Drama Series award back in 2019.

The fourth and final season of “Killing Eve” is expected to begin on BBC America on February 27. You can watch the new trailer below.
