Everyone loves “The Office” star Craig Robinson and given the hilarity he brings to everything he appears in, that affection is more than justified. His latest project is the Peacock series, “Killing It,” a comedy about class, capitalism, and one man’s quest to achieve the American dream. And also about hunting really big snakes.

This new comedy series launches Thursday, April 14, and reunites Robinson with “Brooklyn Nine-Nin” e co-creator Dan Goor and executive producer Luke Del Tredici. Robinson recurred on NBC’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” as Jake’s friend and nemesis, Doug Judy (aka the Pontiac Bandit).
“We love all the ambitious, challenging, thematically-rich series that populate the current peak-TV landscape,” said Goor and Del Tredici, the co-showrunners, writers, and EPs of the series said in a statement. “We also love jokes. So, we tried to make a show that could deliver both. We wanted ‘Killing It’ to explore America’s quasi-religious obsession with entrepreneurship and wealth, and we also wanted it to be funny. Really, really funny. Plus, we wanted it to have big snakes.”
“It’s a daunting creative balancing act, but lucky for us, we were writing for Craig Robinson, aka the most likable man in the world,” they continued. “His hilarious, effortlessly charming performance grounds even the wildest comic moments in something deeply human and relatable.”
Produced by: Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, the executive producers on the series include Craig Robinson, Mark Schulman, Mo Marable. Marable directs the first three episodes, and on top of Robinson, the cast features Claudia O’Doherty, Rell Battle, Scott MacArthur, Stephanie Nogueras, Wyatt Walter, Jet Miller, and more.
“Killing It” is ten episodes long in a 30-minute format. The series was shot on location in New Orleans, LA. “Killing It” streams April 14 on Peacock, and Robinson alone is worth checking out the series.
