Now one of those 2023 films of Dastmalchian’s finally hits theaters after a buzzy premiere at SXSW last year: “Late Night With The Devil.” Dasmalchian stars in the found footage horror as a late-night talk show host desperate to beat Johnny Carson in ratings. To do so, he’ll try and pull off an iconic Halloween show, not realizing he’s dealing with darker forces than he realizes.

Here’s an official synopsis for “Late Night With The Devil,” courtesy of IFC Films:

October 31, 1977. Johnny Carson rival Jack Delroy hosts a syndicated late night talk show ‘Night Owls’ that has long been a trusted companion to insomniacs around the country. Desperate to turn his fortunes around, Jack plans a Halloween special like no other, unaware that he is about to unleash evil into the living rooms of America.

Along with Dastmalchian, “Late Night With The Devil” also stars Laura Gordon, Ian Bliss, Ingrid Torellil, Fayssal Bazzi, and Rhys Auteri.
