Lena Dunham Joins Cast Of Quentin Tarantino's 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood'

At what point will there be just too many big names in the cast of Quentin Tarantino’sOnce Upon a Time in Hollywood?” We’ve been commenting in our articles that Tarantino’s latest is turning into his version of “Avengers: Infinity War,” but at this point, Marvel Studios would probably pump the brakes on signing more recognizable faces.

THR is reporting that Lena Dunham has now joined the cast of Tarantino’s upcoming film. There’s no word on who she might play in the film, but Dunham is very recognizable and will definitely be easy enough to spot. For those not aware of Dunham’s previous work, she’s probably best known for the series she created and starred in, “Girls.” Since that show ended in 2017, the actress-writer-producer has been working behind the scenes on a variety of projects.

“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” tells the story of Rick Dalton and Cliff Booth, who are trying to find their way in an ever-changing Los Angeles in 1969. Dalton is a former TV star and Booth is his stunt double/best friend. And while they’re trying to find their next big break, Dalton’s very famous neighbor, Sharon Tate, is murdered by the Manson Family.

Dunham isn’t the only new actor joining the stacked cast that includes (but is not limited to) Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Al Pacino, Damian Lewis, Kurt Russell, Burt Reynolds, Dakota Fanning, Margot Robbie, and many, many more. Maya Hawke has also joined the cast of ‘Once Upon a Time.’ If that name doesn’t sound familiar, it probably will soon enough. Hawke is the daughter of Tarantino collaborator and “Kill Bill” star Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke. She’ll next be seen in the upcoming season of “Stranger Things.”

“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” will hit theaters on July 26, 2019.
