Leonardo DiCaprio & Carey Mulligan Bring Glamour To Japanese 'The Great Gatsby' Poster

nullWhile F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Greaty Gatsby" is an American classic, when it comes to the movie, it needs to cross the pond and translate for international audiences. That's why someone like Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the few people who could get the expensive, 3D production made. With the movie arriving this summer, Warner Bros. needs to make sure everyone comes out to see what Baz Luhrmann has put together.

So it's no surprise that DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan are front and center on the Japanese poster for the film. It's not exactly the most beautiful one sheet, and it lacks the pizzazz of its American counterparts, but it's informative and that's what the studio likely wants to get across: it has these beautiful stars and it opens on this date. Whether or not the Jazz Age saga of the tortured romance of wealthy layabouts will resonate elsewhere remains to be seen, but that's what marketing is for.

"The Great Gatsby" opens on May 10th. [RecentMoviePosters]null
