'Look Into My Eyes' Trailer: Lana Wilson's Sundance Favorite About NYC Psychics Hits Theaters On September 6

A24 has a great slate of movies hitting theaters this Fall, “Babygirl,” “A Different Man,” and “We Live In Time” among them. But don’t sleep on “Look Into My Eyes,” Lana Wilson‘s Sundance 2024 favorite, which leads the studio’s theatrical charge in early September. And Wilson’s latest doc is a perfect cinematic apertif for horror movie season (A24 also has you covered there with “The Front Room” on September 20 and “Heretic” on November 15): an in-depth look on the day-to-day life of psychics and their clients in NYC.

That’s quite a pivot from Wilson’s last two films: last year’s “Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields” and 2020’s “Miss Americana.”  But high marks for “Look Into My Eye” out of Sundance this January should indicate this is one audiences shouldn’t miss.  A24 didn’t hesitate to swoop in on the distribution rights for this one either, so maybe audiences should check their incredulity about the subject matter and catch this doc next month.

Here’s an official synopsis for “Look Into My Eyes,” courtesy of A24:

A group of New York City psychics conduct deeply intimate readings for their clients, revealing a kaleidoscope of loneliness, connection, and healing.

Along with directing, Wilson also produces “Look Into My Eyes” with Kyle Martin.  Electric Chinoland, Catapult Film Fund, Artemis Rising, and Drifting Cloud Productions produce the doc. A24 also co-produces on top of distribution.

So will “Look Into My Eyes” be a major hit for Lana Wilson and A24? Critics out of Sundance sure think so (and not just because Wilson is a festival favorite). Check out the trailer for the new doc below. “Look Into My Eyes” his theaters on September 6.
