The Oscar curse has taken down the careers of many a talented actor after they take home the statuette, but Lupita Nyong’o is certainly not among them. After winning an Academy Award for “12 Years a Slave,” the actress joined two blockbuster franchises in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and Marvel‘s “Black Panther.” Now, she may be adding a third series to her already stellar resume. She is reportedly being courted by producer Barbara Broccoli and director Cary Fukunaga for ‘Bond 25.’

Daniel Craig is set to play James Bond for the fifth and final time. Ralph Fiennes, Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw will also return to their previous roles in the franchise. The Daily Mail also reports that Emma Stone will not be joining them as a newcomer to the series, despite some rumors to the contrary.
If Lupita Nyong’o joins them in ‘Bond 25,’ it will be added to an already impressive list of upcoming releases for the actress. She had zomcom “Little Monsters” premiere at Sundance, and she stars in “Us,” Jordan Peele‘s follow-up to his Oscar win alongside fellow “Black Panther” alum Winston Duke, out March 21. She will also reprise the role of Maz Kanata in “Star Wars: Episode IX,” which is currently in post-production.
‘Bond 25’ has had a rocky road to the screen, with Fukunaga replacing Danny Boyle. The previous script for this 007 outing from Neal Purvis and Robert Wade is currently being reworked by Scott Z. Burns, which we reported in an exclusive last week.
‘Bond 25’ is set to open April 8, 2020.
