Madonna Seemingly Begins Work Again On Script For Her Own Biopic

Madonna has had one of the most interesting life stories of the past several decades. There has been enough drama, probably, to fill at least two or three feature-length films. So, it shouldn’t be really difficult to make a movie based on her life. However, Madonna is doing things differently, as she wants to write and direct the film herself. That’s why it wasn’t all that shocking to see that the film lost steam and wasn’t getting made back in 2023. It seemed like a project doomed from the start. But again, Madonna doesn’t do things the typical way.

According to a recent Instagram post, Madonna seems to have started work again on the script for a film adaptation of her life. While she doesn’t provide any specifics, we can see her working on a typewriter on the script to her own biopic. Her caption to the post reads, “I Need A-lot of Bandz to make this………..OKAY. (Story of my life.)”

Now that it appears the Madonna biopic is back on track, there are some obvious questions that need to be answered. Primarily, we need to know if she plans to still write and direct the feature. The social media post seems to answer that one with a resounding yes.

Then, of course, there’s the question about whether or not Julia Garner is still onboard to star as the singer in the film. Her casting was announced more than two years ago, and she’s a very busy actress. So, it wouldn’t be at all shocking to hear that Garner has scheduling conflicts for the film.

Obviously, we probably shouldn’t read too much into the Instagram post, other than to say that development on the once-dead project seems to be ramping up again. And it goes without saying that this could all fall apart at some point. But for now, it seems as if Madonna is willing to give this whole biopic thing a try again.
