‘The Adam Project’: Mark Ruffalo To Play Ryan Reynolds’ Dad In The New Time-Travel Film

Recently, it was announced that Jennifer Garner and Zoe Saldana were joining Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming sci-fi, time-travel film, “The Adam Project,” over at Netflix. Well, it appears that Reynolds and filmmaker Shawn Levy were far from done adding big names to the cast, as we are now finding out more about the upcoming film and Mark Ruffalo’s involvement.

According to THR, Mark Ruffalo, Catherine Keener, Walker Scobell, and Alex Mallari, Jr. have all joined the aforementioned folks in the cast of “The Adam Project.” In the film, Reynolds plays a man that has to travel back in time to get the help of his 13-year-old self (Scobell) as they have to team with their brilliant physicist dad (Ruffalo) to save the world. Keener is set to play the villain of the film, who has stolen the time-travel technology.

“The Adam Project” is currently in production now and is directed by Shawn Levy. The filmmaker is probably best known for his work on the “Night at the Museum” films but he’s also the helmer of the upcoming action film, “Free Guy,” which also stars Reynolds. “The Adam Project” is written by Jonathan Tropper.

With Saldana, Garner, and Ruffalo all signed on to star, the film now includes four actors with Marvel superhero pasts. And with Keener, the film has one of the most underrated actresses on the planet that raises the level of every project she’s attached to, so that might as well make her a real superhero.

A release date for “The Adam Project” is unknown at this time.
