Marvel Casting: 'Black Panther,' 'The Punisher,' 'The Defenders,' 'Legion,' And More Add More Players

I can only imagine that the office that handles all of Marvel‘s actor contracts is constantly buzzing. With multiple movies and TV shows in various stages of production at any given moment, it seems like talent is signing on every day. Certainly, the last few days has seen a storm of projects bolster their ensembles, so let’s dive right into what’s been going on:

Forest Whitaker, Daniel Kaluuya and Florence Kasumba have joined the cast of Ryan Coogler‘s “Black Panther” which includes Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danai Gurira. Whitaker has nabbed the role of elder Wakandan Zuri, with Kasumba as Ayo, and Kaluuya as W’Kabi. [Variety]

Jon Bernthal is getting some company in the upcoming Netflix series “The Punisher” with a trio of new hires. Ben Barnes is on board as Frank Castle’s best bud Billy Russo, who works for the private military corporation called “Anvil.”’ Ebon Moss-Bachrach plays a former NSA analyst named Micro (lol), and Amber Rose Revah will be Homeland Security agent Dinah Madani.
