Marvel Reveals 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' Title, Captain Marvel 2' Becomes 'The Marvels' & First Look At 'Eternals'

Marvel releases a welcome back to theaters message to all its audiences, and that must mean Nature is Healing. “The world may change and evolve. But the one thing that will never change, we’re all part of one big family,” Marvel Studios says in a new “welcome back to theaters” promo image they have revealed this morning. The teaser has lots of details too.

First up, beyond teases of the past and a bit new footage of the upcoming “Black Widow” (July 9, 2021) and “Shang Chi: The Legend Of The Ten Rings” (September 3, 2021), there’s a first look at Choe Zhao‘s “Eternals” featuring footage of the entire team Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, said to be the de facto lead character of the movie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek and more. It is due in theaters on November 5, 2021.

Secondly, “Black Panther 2.” The movie has a new title of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” It arrives in theaters on July 8, 2022. Directed by Ryan Coogler again, ‘Wakanda Forever’ is expected to feature most of the principal cast of the original film, minus Chadwick Boseman, who tragically passed away in 2020 from cancer. Expected to return are Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Florence Kasumba (Ayo), and likely more, such as Martin Freeman and possibly Daniel Kaluuya.

“Captain Marvel 2? Well, it seems it’s become more of a team movie, and the new title is “The Marvels.” It is scheduled for a November 11, 2022 release date. Directed by Nia DaCosta, “The Marvels” stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, alongside Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. Zawe Ashton has been cast in an undisclosed role which many assume is the villain.

Not too much has changed for “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” but it now has an official release date: Feb 17, 2023.

“Guardians Of The Galaxy: Volume 3” also has an official and expected release date: May 5, 2023.
