Melissa McCarthy Fully Supports Jason Reitman & His 'Ghostbusters' Sequel: "I'm All For It"

We have reached the point where it would seem that any potential candidate running for President of the United States in 2020 is going to have to add “Ghostbusters Stance” to their political agenda. Speaking to ET, the Academy Award-nominated actress was asked her thoughts about the upcoming “Ghostbusters” sequel, considering she was part of the 2016 “Ghostbusters: Answer the Call,” which is seemingly being forgotten moving forward. Unlike Leslie Jones, who didn’t mince words with her dislike of the sequel idea, McCarthy seems to not only be okay with the new film, but welcomes any film that Reitman wants to helm.

“I’m for anybody who’s making movies. I talked to Jason about it, he’s just always had this idea, and his goes back to the world where the guys did exist and I’m like, ‘I want to see that,'” McCarthy said. “I’m all for it. I say like, ‘Tell the story.'”

She continued, “I think there’s a million stories to be told. He’s a really, really good filmmaker and a really good storyteller, so I will be there buying my ticket. I’m all for it.”
