Marvel Studios doesn’t seem to have any trouble finding A-list actors who want to join the MCU. Each and every film and TV project coming out of the studio is just a who’s-who of talent. But even with all the big names we’ve already seen in the MCU, there’s still no sign of Denzel Washington on the horizon. Maybe his “A Journal for Jordan” actor, Michael B. Jordan, can fix that?
Speaking to IMDB, both Michael B. Jordan and Denzel Washington were there to talk about their new film, “A Journal for Jordan.” And while answering fan questions, Jordan was asked if he would like to see Washington join the MCU? For those unaware, Jordan already appeared as Erik Killmonger in “Black Panther,” as well as the recently released “What If?” animated series.
“Yes, no hesitation,” said Jordan. “I actually got some things in mind, but yeah, I would love that.”
“You better hurry,” laughed Washington in response.
“I got some ideas for that, so yeah, that would be cool…After ‘Creed III,’ then my mind can wander to other creative things,” added Jordan.
Obviously, Michael B. Jordan isn’t Kevin Feige and doesn’t hold the final say about who does or doesn’t show up in an MCU film or TV series. That said, it would be silly to think Feige wouldn’t be able to find somewhere to put Denzel Washington, if the actor is game. It might be a while though, as Washington recently revealed that he’s already talking to Paul Thomas Anderson, Alfonso Cuaron, and Steve McQueen about future projects. So, unless PTA is doing a new ‘Avengers’ film, it doesn’t seem like Washington is going to appear in a new MCU project for a while still.
