The filmmaker has unveiled a new short, “Détour,” shot on the iPhone. The Pixar-esque fable follows a family headed out on vacation, only for a tricycle to get separated along the way. The film then follows the tricycle as it tries to reunite with its owners. It’s clever stuff, and right in Gondry’s whimsical wheelhouse.
