There are few athletes with such an interesting, if not troubled history as Mike Tyson. His story is seemingly tailor-made for a film or TV adaptation. And that’s exactly what’s coming to Hulu next month in “Mike.”
As seen in the trailer for “Mike,” the new Hulu series follows the life and career of Mike Tyson, one of the greatest boxers in the history of the sport. From his rise as a teen phenom to his superstardom to his downfall and eventual rise again, Tyson’s story is a true rollercoaster.
The series stars Trevante Rhodes, Russell Hornsby, Harvey Keitel, Laura Harrier, Li Eubanks, Olunike Adeliyi, and B.J. Minor. “Mike” is created by Steven Rogers, the screenwriter behind “I, Tonya.” Karin Gist is on board as the showrunner. She’s probably best known for her extensive TV work on shows such as “Our Kind of People,” “Star,” and “Mixed-ish.”
“Mike” debuts on Hulu on August 25. You can watch the trailer below.
