After the massive success of true-crime docuseries on Netflix, FX is jumping into the deep end of the true-crime pool with a new docuseries about the Zodiac Killer, titled “The Most Dangerous Animal of All.” And judging by the first trailer, it appears that FX’s first attempt at the subgenre is going to be pretty great.
“The Most Dangerous Animal of All” tells the true story of a man that believes his father might have actually been the mysterious Zodiac Killer. Based on the best-selling book of the same name, the four-part documentary series follows the story of Gary L. Stewart, a man that believes that his long-lost father might actually be one of the most infamous serial killers in American history.
After coming into contact with his birth mother for the first time at the age of 39, Stewart, who was adopted, begins his quest to find out more about his parents, specifically his father. As seen in the trailer, the only picture Stewart has of his father is a mugshot that his birth mother has kept. From there, the man discovers more about his own history, as well as how his father might be tied to the unsolved murders that rocked the US back in the late-‘60s.
“The Most Dangerous Animal of All” premieres on FX on March 6 before hitting FX on Hulu the following day.
