I never thought I’d be saying this but… "Suicide Squad" actually looks like it’ll be the better, more coherent movie than "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice." That’s my long distance view anyway, since the latest trailer for Zack Snyder‘s superhero superslam looks like a total mess. But no matter what anyone thinks so far, the marketing for the flagship of the DC Extended Universe pushes forward.
Three new posters for the movie —each giving Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman their own space— have arrived, continuing the grim and gritty approach that Warner Bros. hopes will pay off. And a serious tone is fine! Just ask Christopher Nolan. But he grounded his Batman movies in a world not unlike our own. Snyder seems to want to have it both ways: gritty but also cartoonishly violent, punctuated by goofy humor.
We’ll see if that works on March 25, 2016. Check out the posters below and with a new promo clip.
