While all eyes are on “Guardians Of The Galaxy” as the risky, unknown Marvel property being given the big screen treatment, let’s not forget about “Big Hero 6.” The property is coming this fall via Disney Animation, who have gone all out for a title that likely only the most dedicated of comics fans know about. But the first images of the two lead characters show that it could have a lot of crossover appeal.
Set in the futuristic San Fransokyo, the story will follow robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada and his robot sidekick Baymax who team up with a group of crimefighters to stop a criminal plot. So, the setting might be new, but it seems the plot will be familiar, at least in broad strokes, as it will present a wacky group of heroes for the audience to follow.
The first trailer will arrive this week, but until then, here’s are the images. “Big Hero 6” opens on November 7th. [io9]
