"The Words" might not be the sexiest movie title in history, but what it lacks in name appeal, the film makes up for in casting. Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana lead a cast that also includes Olivia Wilde, Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid, J.K. Simmons, Ben Barnes and Nora Arzeneder. Not bad, right?
Written and directed by "Tron: Legacy" scribes Lee Sternthal and Brian Klugman, and marking their directorial debut, the film tells the story of a young writer (Cooper) who must deal with the professional and personal ramifications after passing off another author's work as his own. We weren't exactly enamored with movie when we caught it at Sundance, saying that the "various levels of storytelling don’t add up to emotional depth, and the characters’ problems are mostly too superficial – or even enviable – to be sympathetic."
But if you're at all interested in anybody from the cast, it might be worth tracking down anyway. "The Words" opens on September 7th.
