With just fifteen days to go before it hits theaters, Apple Original Films wants to drum up as much hype as possible for “Killers Of The Flower Moon.” As if the film doesn’t have enough hype already: Martin Scorsese‘s first film since 2019’s “The Irishman” won unanimous praise from critics at its world premiere at Cannes in May. And the film sees the director work with two long-time collaborators: Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro.
The two actors take center stage in a new clip from the film. Based on David Grann‘s 2017 book of the same name, Scorsese’s latest tells the story of the Osage County Murders in 1920s Oklahoma through the lens of a marriage at the center of it. Will the bond between DiCaprio’s Ernest Burkhart and Lily Gladstone‘s Mollie Burkhart be broken as Indigenous people continue to get mysteriously killed? The new clip below doesn’t give anything away but hints that Ernest knows more about the murders than his wife realizes.
“Killers Of The Flower Moon” also stars Jesse Plemons, Tattoo Cardinal, John Lithgow, Brandon Fraser, and more. Along with directing, Scorsese adapts Grann’s book for the big screen with Eric Roth.
After Scorsese’s latest hits theaters on October 20, it streams exclusively on Apple TV+; its premiere date on the streamer remains unspecified. Check out another new “Killers Of The Flower Moon” clip below.
