As we're sure you've heard around the interwebs in the past few days, "The Dark Knight Rises" finally received its official PG-13 rating. That's hardly a surprise. What some nerds tuned into (and were turned on by) was the MPAA's caution that the film contained "intense sequences of violence and action, some sensuality and language." Sensuality!? Bat-boner! And well, maybe now we know why.
ComingSoon has stumbled upon some random promo art of Anne Hathaway in her full Catwoman get up and uh….yeah, let's just say that suit highlights her attributes considerably. Given the generally super-conversative nature of the MPAA, we can only imagine male members passed out during the screening while women held hankerchiefs up to their foreheads in shock and shuffled out of the room. We're also guessing those heels are military grade, otherwise that is the worse thing to be wearing if you're trying to slink around cat-like, unnoticed.
Catwoman appears with Batman on the cover of this weeks EW and is described by Christopher Nolan as having "a very strong way of protecting herself and those she cares about, which implies an underlying darkness.” And while no one can say anything about the film, Tom Hardy does offer up this little nugget about his hard-to-understand villain Bane. “It’s a risk, because we could be laughed at — or it could be very fresh and exciting…The audience mustn’t be too concerned about the mumbly voice,” says Hardy. “As the film progresses, I think you’ll be able to tune to its setting.”
Anyway, the fire rises (in our pants) on July 20th.
