Mia Hansen-Løve isn’t one for repeating herself. The filmmaker likely first came on the radars of arthouse fans with the romance "Goodbye First Love," then delved into the world of ’90s electronic music with "Eden," and now returns with a tale of middle age, "L’avenir," and the first image from the movie has arrived.
Isabelle Huppert leads the picture, playing a fifty-year-old philosophy teacher who soldiers through the death of her mother, getting fired from her job, and dealing with a husband who is cheating on her.
"L’avenir" opens in France on March 2, 2016 but maybe it will stop by the Berlin Film Festival in February first? Hopefully we’ll find out soon while we keep our eyes peeled for a trailer. [via Cine Maldito]
