As the buzz builds and the countdown clock to the Cannes debut of Terry Gilliam’s “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus,” looms, another photo — this one of Heath Ledger’s Tony character and Lily Cole as Valentina — has been released.
Cole plays Doctor Parnassus’ (Christopher Plummer) daughter in the film that has struck a deal with the devil (Tom Waits) that could seal her fate. Ledger plays Tony a man with amnesia soon discovered to be a charlatan of sorts.
“The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” makes its world debut on May 22 at the Cannes Film Festival. By the sounds of this article is also appears that ‘Parnassus’ has a November 11 release date in France. Will we see a similar date in the U.S.? Gilliam’s already said he’s eyeing a fall release date. [via L’express]
