Here’s a new look at Ryan Gosling, in another highly anticipated fall festival season for the actor, on this occasion leading George Clooney‘s political thriller “The Ides Of March.”
The film features a stellar ensemble cast which boasts names likes Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood and Clooney himself and is based on Beau Willimon‘s play “Farragut North,” loosely based on the 2004 Democratic primary and one of its candidates Howard Dean. Gosling himself has another feature included in the TIFF line up in Nicolas Winding Refn‘s “Drive” which has already premiered and impressed earlier this year on the Croisette.
‘Ides Of March,’ meanwhile, will go wide on October 7th but its expected Oscar push will likely begin at Venice, where it’s opening, and Toronto, where it’ll screen soon after. [TIFF]
