MUBI is set to release “Nimic” just in time for Thanksgiving and in honor of that film’s streaming debut, we’re excited to give our readers an exclusive look at a clip from the upcoming short that stars Matt Dillon. “Nimic” debuted at last year’s Locarno Film Festival and is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, who co-wrote the 12-minute short alongside frequent collaborator Efthymis Filippou.

The synopsis for the short reads: “A professional cellist has an encounter with a stranger on the subway which has unexpected and far-reaching ramifications on his life.” However, as with every project from Lanthimos, you know that a fairly mundane premise will likely be anything but mundane when viewed. This is the filmmaker that turned what could have been a boring period drama on its head with his hilarious film, “The Favourite.” And then you, of course, have crazy films like “The Lobster” and “The Killing of a Sacred Deer,” which are two of the most original films of the last decade. All that to say, “Nimic” is definitely a short film that film fans should be excited to watch.

Thankfully, MUBI is here to give us our dose of “Nimic.” The streaming service is set to debut the short on its streaming service on November 27. You can watch the exclusive clip from the short below.
