'Nova': Kevin Feige Confirms TV Show In The Works But Still "Three Or Four Years Out"

We are mere days away from Marvel Studios taking over San Diego Comic-Con. And it’s expected that the studio will make some big announcements at the event. But before we get to Saturday, it appears Kevin Feige is willing to make some confirmations while out and about promoting “Deadpool & Wolverine.”

Speaking to Comicbook.com, while promoting “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Kevin Feige was asked to confirm whether or not the rumors are true about a possible “Nova” TV series. While it was reported as happening quite a while ago, with Bob Iger’s insistence that Marvel Studios would be limiting its TV output, there were fans that thought that perhaps the “Nova” show was a casualty. Apparently, it’s still happening.

“It’s happening, it’s coming together. Richard Rider, yep,” said Feige. “A show, yeah, yeah… It’s three or four years out.”

For those not well-versed in Marvel lore, “Nova” might be something you don’t know about. Basically, it’s simple— “Nova” follows the story of Richard Rider (though there have been plenty of other Novas through the years), a member of the Nova Corps. (who were seen quite a bit in the original “Guardians of the Galaxy”). The comics follow the story of Rider as the last Nova, who goes around the galaxy helping stop bad guys. He’s probably best known for his costume, which is one of the most iconic in Marvel history.

If Feige is giving an accurate assessment of when we might see “Nova” on our TVs, then it’s likely that the show will happen post- “Avengers: Secret Wars.” Though, perhaps it could sneak in right under the gun. We’ll have to wait and see.

If that’s not too nerdy for you, then perhaps you’ll like this other bit of news that Comicbook.com was able to confirm. According to Feige, one of the biggest questions that has lingered in the minds of MCU fans is “soon” going to be answered. The Marvel boss confirmed that fans will finally learn who purchased Avengers Tower in the MCU.

If you don’t know what we’re talking about, then you obviously weren’t paying attention during “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” In that film, it was revealed that Tony Stark was selling Avengers Tower and move the team to upstate New York. We just didn’t find out who purchased the building. Apparently, that’s something that will be answered in a future project. This is just wild speculation, but the obvious choice is the Fantastic Four, as they will be needing a new base of operations most likely after their film.

We’ll just have to wait and see.
