Who doesn’t love Paddington? He’s adorable and sweet. But damn, this bear is always finding himself on some sort of adventure that is dangerous. Can’t he just take a breather occasionally? As you might expect from the title, “Paddington in Peru,” is yet another film starring the bear that puts him on another perilous journey.
While the teaser doesn’t do much to tell the plot of “Paddington in Peru,” it does show just why everyone seems to love the ‘Paddington’ franchise. Just a quick scene of him trying to take a passport photo is incredibly sweet and fun.
Ben Whishaw returns to voice the lovable bear at the center of the story. While Sally Hawkins doesn’t return for the threequel, the ensemble cast includes Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Antonio Banderas, Olivia Colman, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Carla Tous, and Jim Broadbent. “Paddington in Peru” is directed by Dougal Wilson, who will be making his feature film debut with this third installment in the delightful children’s series.

PADDINGTON IN PERU brings Paddington’s story to Peru as he returns to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. With the Brown Family in tow, a thrilling adventure ensues when a mystery plunges them into an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and up to the mountain peaks of Peru.
“Paddington in Peru” debuts in U.K. cinemas on November 8 via Studio Canal before hitting the U.S. on January 17, 2025 via Sony Pictures. You can watch the trailer below.
