Paramount+ has released a first-look trailer for their upcoming series “Guilty Party” from creator Rebecca Addelman (“Dead to Me”) and led by British actress Kate Beckinsale (“Underworld” franchise), who is taking a spin with comedy in the role of lead character Beth Burgess.
Joining Beckinsale in the show’s cast will be Jules Latimer, Geoff Stults (“Little Fires Everywhere”), Laurie Davidson (“The Good Liar”), Andre Hyland (“The Death of Dick Long”), Tiya Sircar (“Good Sam”), and Alanna Ubach (“Euphoria”).

“Beth Burgess (Beckinsale), a discredited journalist desperate to salvage her career by latching on to the story of a young mother, Toni Plimpton (Latimer), who has been sentenced to life in prison for maiming and murdering her husband. Crimes she claims she didn’t commit. In trying to uncover the truth, Beth finds herself in over her head as she contends with Colorado gun-smugglers, clickbait culture, the doldrums of marriage, and her own tarnished past.”

Rebbeca Addelman is also an executive producer alongside director Trent O’Donnell, Kate Beckinsale, Mosaic’s Jimmy Miller and Sam Hansen, and Funny Or Die’s Joe Farrell, Jim Ziegler, Mike Farah, and co-executive producers Becca Kinskey and Whitney Hodack.
Beckinsale recently starred in the Amazon series “The Widow” and starred in the action pic “Jolt.”
Other upcoming original series heading to Paramount+ include “Halo,” “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” “Grease: Rise of The Pink Ladies,” Jeremy Renner’s “Mayor of Kingstown” from Taylor Sheridan (“Wind River,” “Sicario,” “Hell or High Water“), and the “Yellowstone” prequel “1883.”
“Guilty Party” will debut the first two episodes on October 14. Watch the first trailer below.
