Got a Tip?

Paul Rudd To Star In Netflix Series ‘Living With Yourself’ From Directors Jonathan Dayton & Valerie Faris

Paul Rudd is getting back into TV. Perhaps best known on TV for his role in the early 2000’s on “Friends,” the actor has popped up over here and there doing series work over the last decade. Most notably, he returned as Andy in the two series of “Wet Hot American Summer” that premiered on Netflix. And for his next comedy series, he’s again teaming up with Netflix.

Deadline is reporting that Rudd has signed on to star in the upcoming Netflix project “Living with Yourself.” The series has an interesting premise, which features the actor in a dual-role scenario. In the series, Rudd finds himself playing a down-on-his-luck character that really would like to improve himself. Through the use of a special scientific treatment, he finds that he’s been replaced by a newer, better version of himself.

“Living with Yourself” comes from the mind of Timothy Greenberg. The writer will tackle all eight episodes of the series and serves as the creator. Greenberg has been primarily working on “The Daily Show” for the last several years, where he’s earned multiple Emmy’s and a Peabody Award.

Greenberg is joined by the directing duo of Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris. The two directors were Oscar-nominated for their work on the hit film “Little Miss Sunshine.” Most recently, the duo directed the film “Battle of the Sexes.” They also directed the indie film “Ruby Sparks,” from writer-star Paul Dano.

There’s no release date for “Living with Yourself” as of yet. Rudd is just now coming off the promotional cycle for his Marvel Studios sequel “Ant-Man and the Wasp” and will next be seen in the upcoming, highly-anticipated “Avengers 4.”
