Last year, Ron Howard ventured into a galaxy far, far away with his “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” Arguably, the largest production the Oscar-winning director has ever been a part of, ‘Solo’ also brought some never-before-experienced criticism and drama just because it was yet another entry in one of the biggest franchises in film history. However, for his follow-up, Howard is going back to something far away from the fantasy world with an intimate documentary about one of the most iconic singers of all time, Luciano Pavarotti.
As seen in the new trailer for the documentary, “Pavarotti” will not only be one of the most detailed and personal looks into the life of one of music’s biggest names, but also one of the most beautiful and well-crafted films of the year. No, that’s not hyperbole, either.

Even though it’s a doc, which is a genre not historically known for its incredible imagery and sound design, considering the subject, CBS Films and Howard have created a film that not only looks incredible but utilizes some of the best sound quality available in cinemas today. Obviously, if you’re going to show Luciano Pavarotti perform, you better make sure it sounds damn good.
