Pom Klementieff Has Talked To James Gunn About "One Specific Character" For Her In The DCU

It’s no surprise we’ve seen some familiar faces show up in the early cast of the new DCU that James Gunn is working on. Gunn is famous for bringing back actors he enjoyed working with on new projects, with regulars like Nathan Fillion and Michael Rooker showing up in just about everything the director does. So, it’s not really news to see one of his ‘Guardians’ actors talking about rejoining Gunn over at DC Studios. But what is interesting is that it appears Gunn and the actor are already narrowing down options.

Speaking at the San Antonio Superhero Comic Con (Via Agents of Fandom), ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ actor Pom Klementieff talked about her plans for following James Gunn over to the DCU for a future superhero project. In fact, it seems as if the actor and Gunn have been zeroing in on exactly the right role.

“I just want to keep working with James, so we’re going to keep trying to find ways to do that,” said Klementieff. “Yes, we’ve been talking about one specific character, but I can’t talk about that right now.”

Obviously, we’re not going to have Klementieff spill the beans on what role it might be right now. She’s been media trained by Marvel Studios, so the woman knows how to keep a secret. But it is interesting that it seems like it’ll happen sooner rather than later. When we hear other Gunn alums talking about coming back, they talk about things in more nebulous ways, like it might happen or they’d like it to happen. But with Pom, it seems as if it is happening.

Who knows? Maybe we’ll see her show up in “Superman,” which is currently filming now. We know she had a small cameo in Gunn’s first DC foray, “The Suicide Squad,” so it could happen without us even knowing.
