It’s been five months since Ray Fisher accused Joss Whedon of alleged “abusive, unprofessional” behavior on the set of “Justice League,” and now WarnerMedia has concluded an investigation into Fisher’s allegations.
A spokesperson for the media corporation said in a statement Friday night (via The Hollywood Reporter) “WarnerMedia’s investigation into the Justice League movie has concluded and remedial action has been taken.” However, there are no further details as to what actions were taken.
Shortly after the statement went out, Fisher took to Twitter to share his own statement. “There are still conversations that need to be had and resolutions that need to be found. Thank you all for your support and encouragement on this journey. We are on our way. More soon.”
It’s been a long and arduous process to get to this point. In July, Fisher alleged that Whedon was abusive on the set of “Justice League” and was enabled by producers Geoff Johns and John Berg, resulting in WarnerMedia opening an investigation. But back in September Warner Bros. released a statement claiming Fisher wasn’t cooperating with the investigation, and even accusing Fisher of making a “false claim.” Fisher answered by calling the studio’s statement a “desperate game.” Late last month, Joss Whedon exited the HBO show “The Nevers,” which Fisher alleged was because of the investigation and the controversy.
In addition to his own statement, Fisher also shared on Twitter a message he received from WarnerMedia informing him of the end of the investigation, “WarnerMedia appreciates you having the courage to come forward and assist the company with creating an inclusive and equitable work environment for it’s employees and partners.” The actor commented on the statement, adding it “truly belongs to ALL who participated in the investigation.”
