It’s Christmas day and Zack Snyder and Netflix have decided to give you a treat: the new teaser for his next upcoming film, “Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver,” the follow up to his
‘Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire.”
It’s a generous move given that “A Child Of Fire, the first installment in his space opera was hit with scathing reviews when it debuted earlier this month (read our review), but one supposes, Snyder is no grinch, doesn’t mind and wants to keep the drum beating for his new series (it’s on our list of the 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2024, so let’s hope the ‘Scargiver’ is much better.

The cast of of “Rebel Moon: The Scargiver” remains the same as the original, at least the cast members that survived the original film. They include Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, with Anthony Hopkins as the voice of ‘Jimmy.’ Also starring Staz Nair, Fra Fee, Cleopatra Coleman, Stuart Martin, Ingvar Sigurðsson, Alfonso Herrera, Cary Elwes, Rhian Rees, E. Duffy, Sky Yang and Charlotte Maggi.
Here’s the official synopsis:
REBEL MOON – PART TWO: THE SCARGIVER continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld. On the eve of their battle the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made.
