‘Red Eye’ Trailer: New Limited Series Starring Jing Lusi & Richard Armitage Hits Hulu On July 22

Need something to binge-watch next week? Hulu has an offering for those who love international crime drama in “Red Eye” (no, not Wes Craven‘s 2005 flick with Cillian Murphy and Rachel McAdams).

Crazy Rich Asians” actress Jing Lusi stars in the six-episode series as a London cop who must escort a murder suspect (TV veteran actor Richard Armitage, who “Hannibal” fans will recognize as Francis Dolarhyde) to Beijing, only for more murder to start on their flight to China.

Here’s an official synopsis for “Red Eye,” courtesy of Hulu:

London police officer DS Hana Li is escorting Dr. Matthew Nolan back to Beijing, where he has been accused of murder. However, on Flight 357 back to Beijing, she finds herself embroiled in an escalating conspiracy and a growing number of murders.

Along with Lusi and Armitage, “Red Eye” also stars Lesley Sharp and Jemma Moore.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television, “Red Eye” was created and written by screenwriter Peter A. Dowling. The series is directed by Kieron Hawkes. Executive producers include Julie Gardner, Lachlan MacKinnon, and Dowling. Kristian Dench serves as producer, with episode four penned by Jingan Young.

All six “Red Eye” episodes premiere on Hulu on July 22. Watch a trailer for the series below.
