While his most recent film, “Nosferatu” is still a couple of days away, it looks like Robert Eggers is looking towards the future. Unfortunately, it’s still unclear what exactly lies ahead for the filmmaker.
In a recent interview with IndieWire, Robert Eggers talked about what he might be working on next after “Nosferatu.” According to the filmmaker, it’s difficult to know exactly what might be coming next. Instead, he is currently juggling five different projects to see which one might get made next.

“I have five things going on because you never know what’s going to work, what’s going to appeal to people, what’s going to be greenlit,” explained Eggers. “[‘Nosferatu’] was not greenlit three times. I absolutely thought I was making a movie that has not gotten greenlit twice instead of this, so you never know. You’ve got to have a lot of stuff going on.”

He added, “I would like to do a Western at some point.”
This isn’t the first time there has been questions about what Eggers is working on. At one point, he was set to write and direct a Rasputin limited series. That never got made. And then, there’s his medieval film, “The Knight,” which appears to be put on the shelf.
No matter what Eggers has coming next, it would be a safe assumption to say that it will be impeccably made and interesting. With each new film, it appears Eggers only gets better and more confident with his craft, which is evident with “Nosferatu.”
“Nosferatu” is set to release on Christmas Day.
