Rumor: Colin Farrell And Monica Bellucci Eyed For 'Justice League Dark'

Colin Farrell And Monica BellucciWhile it remains to be seen how "Justice League Dark" will fit (or not) into Warner Bros.‘ broader DC Comics Cinematic Universe, it seems the exit of Guillermo del Toro hasn’t dampened the studio’s enthusiasm for the project. According to Latino Review, the project is building steam, which means big names are being tossed around.

The plan is to land A-list stars for the flick, and Colin Farrell and Monica Bellucci are the frontrunners to play John Constantine and Madame Xanadu, respectively. Meanwhile, the odds are on Ron Perlman to play Swamp Thing.

Ewan McGregor has apparently also been approached to play Constantine as well in the movie that will still use del Toro’s script, and Cara Delevigne‘s Enchantress from "Suicide Squad" might cameo.

All that said, the movie doesn’t have a release date or director, and the claim that Warner Bros. is aiming to shoot the movie next year seems to be a bit odd, since Zack Snyder‘s "Justice League" will also be filming around that time. Maybe the studio is thinking of switching things up and moving one of their other DC movies off the slate and shifting things around? (Perhaps "Cyborg," a film which only hardened Teen Titans fans is asking for, and possibly not even them?)
