In case you missed it last night, Warner Bros. dropped a bombshell, revealing the star-laden cast of the upcoming "Suicide Squad." It sort of took a bit of shine off of "Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice," but it would appear there are still more surprises waiting in the "Man Of Steel" followup…if these rumors are accurate, at any rate.
According to the folks at Badass Digest, fans can get ready for two DC villains to be stopping by. Firstly, though this was mentioned months ago already, they add to the chatter that Doomsday will be seen in the film. To what extent, of course, is unclear, but we would not be surprised if it’s set up for a "Justice League" showdown. They also add that Lex Luthor (played by Jesse Eisenberg, who is not officially confirmed for "Suicide Squad" as rumored, fyi) will have a right hand man named Anatoli Knyazev. You might know him better as KGBeast, but you won’t see him in that iteration here — this is more of an easter egg for superfans to get excited about.
Speaking of Luthor, the site also adds that part of the plot finds him keeping an eye on "metahumans," including one Wonder Woman, so something to keep in mind.
Lastly, while you’re still making your brain compute Jared Leto as The Joker in "Suicide Squad," the character will be a known element in the ‘Batman v. Superman’ world because, get this, Superman "knows about him" (though, the baddie won’t be appearing). Zoinks!
"Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice" arrives on March 25, 2016.
