Now that every tech company is launching their own streaming service, Reynolds is launching his own spoof streaming service Mint Mobile+, a new platform that offers “80 minutes” of “bingetastic unoriginals” streaming in glorious “2003 DVD quality.” But what exactly is the content? And can it compete against Netflix, HBO Max or Disney+? Well, the content consists of just one movie, “Foolproof” which is repackaged in numerous entries, with a variety of fake posters to cover the entirety of the platform’s interface.

Reynolds announced the launch of the platform via a hilarious trailer that the actor shared on Twitter. Quickly after posting the trailer, Reynolds tweeted “Two minutes after launch and our crack data team has already determined Mint Mobile + should probably be shut down by the weekend. We’ll go back to focusing on premium wireless…”

The centerpiece of the spoof is the Canadian comedic heist film “Foolproof” co-starring Kristin Booth and directed by William Phillips. Mint Mobile+, with an interface that’s not so shockingly close to that of Disney+, manages to give “Foolproof” a surprising amount of broad appeal. The service, which Reynolds dubs “the world’s most affordable streaming service,” features “Foolproof” is every single category from “Original Originals,” “Kind of Originals,” to “Unoriginal Originals.” The movie even takes every single slot in the site’s “Top 10 in US’ category.
