'Saw 3D' Blinks First, Moves To October 29th Release To Avoid Showdown With 'Paranormal Activity 2'

Horror fans will no longer have to make Sophie’s choice between sequels of two tired franchises: “Saw 3D” and “Paranormal Activity 2.”

First, like two pouty schoolage brats, both films announced the same release date of October 22nd and then we saw an embarrassing tug-of-war between the two films over its director (we’re not gonna recount that moronic story, but you can read it here). We couldn’t believe so much drama centered around two cheapie horror sequels.

Anyway, it was only a matter of time before Lionsgate or Paramount blinked first and moved their film, and it looks like “Saw 3D” will slink away with its tail between its legs and now open on Oct. 29th. The film will apparently be the last in the franchise but we’ve heard that about every major horror franchise ever so don’t hold you breath. In case you missed it, here’s the teaser.
