People always say that you shouldn’t bring your work home with you. The strict boundaries between your work life and personal life are vital for happiness. In the new Apple TV+ series, “Severance,” that idea is taken to the extreme.
“Severance” reunites the duo of director Ben Stiller and actress Patricia Arquette, who previously worked together on “Escape at Dannemora,” in a story of a group of people who undergo a procedure that makes them forget their work-life the second they go home. And they, in turn, forget their personal life when they enter the workplace. It’s the ultimate in work/personal life balance, but obviously, there’s perhaps something a bit more nefarious at play.
The series stars Arquette alongside Adam Scott, Britt Lower, John Turturro, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus, and Christopher Walken. As mentioned, “Severance” is directed by Ben Stiller, who really became a bit of an awards darling for his previous TV project, “Escape at Dannemora.” The series is written and created by Dan Erickson.
