Action filmmaker Joe Carnahan (“Narc”) is working at a pretty quick clip again. After a busy 2020-2021—”Boss Level” and “Cop Shop” nearly back to back—he returns in 2025 with two movies. One is “RIP” with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon for Netflix, the other is “Shadow Force,” an action thriller for Lionsgate.
Co-written by Carnahan and Leon Chills, the film stars Kerry Washington and Omar Sy as the former leaders of a multinational special forces group called Shadow Force. Yet, having broke the rules by falling in love they go underground to protect their son with the rest of the organization hot on their trail.

The film also stars Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Method Man, Mark Strong, Jahleel Kamara, Krondon, Natalia Reyes, Yoson An, Ed Quinn and more.

In SHADOW FORCE, Kyrah (Washington) and Isaac (Sy) were once the leaders of a multinational special forces group called Shadow Force. They broke the rules by falling in love, and in order to protect their son, they go underground. With a large bounty on their heads, and the vengeful Shadow Force hot on their trail, one family’s fight becomes all-out war.
