Set pictures have surfaced from the set of Michael Bay’s latest cinematic masterpiece, “Transformers 3,” and the real shock has to be the amount of fabric left covering Megan Fox’s replacement Rosie Huntington-Whitely.
The British model (about whom we haven’t got a bad word to say considering her other half is man-machine Jason Statham) has somehow convinced Bay that she should keep the majority of her clothes on for at least one scene in the blockbuster. But it would be premature for legions of teenage boys around the world to start worrying just yet, we’re sure Bay has grandiose plans to strip her down before long. After all, why else would you replace an actress (admittedly we’re using this term loosely) with a girl who models underwear for a living? Spotted alongside Rosie were co-stars Shia LeBeouf and Tyrese Gibson, as well as some dude with an enormous gun.
JustJared reports that the scene being filmed involved Shia’s Sam Witwicky, his new love interest and some military troops fleeing from what will eventually become a CGI Decepticon who tips a building over. No sign yet though of the more impressive additions to the cast – but even the appearances of John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and Ken Jeong couldn’t get us excited for this.
Like or not, “Transformers 3” will arrive in theaters in 3D (of course) on July 1, 2011. -Joe Cunningham
