Got a Tip?

‘Sick’ Trailer: John Hyams’ Pandemic Horror Film Hits Peacock On January 13

Is the COVID-19 pandemic over? That’s up for debate, but Peacock thinks it’s time to start making horror movies about it (or, at least, take place in it). Enter “Sick,” a new horror film co-written by “Scream” scribe Kevin Williamson, about a pair of friends who go decide to go on a vacation mid-pandemic that soon turns into a nightmare.

Here’s an official synopsis for the film, courtesy of Peacock:

As the pandemic steadily brings the world to a halt, Parker and her best friend Miri decide to quarantine at the family lake house alone—or so they think.

“Sick” stars Gideon AldonBethlehem MillionMac Menchaca, and Jane Adams. Underrated journeyman director John Hyams directs a script from Williamson and Katelyn Crabb. Williamson, Bill Block, and Ben Fast co-produce the film through Miramax and Blumhouse.

Hyams’ last film, 2020’s “Alone,” is a lean, mean slice of survivalist horror: a must-watch sleeper from the pandemic era. So, will “Sick” be a worthy follow-up? Find out when “Sick” premieres on Peacock on January 13. Watch a trailer for the film below.
