It looks like Justin Long has been working his little book of phone numbers hard. The upcoming film "A Case Of You," which he co-wrote, has already lined up an impressive cast with Evan Rachel Wood, Peter Dinklage, Sam Rockwell, Vince Vaughn, Busy Phillips and Keir O'Donnell (who also co-wrote the script along with Justin's brother Chris, who is a co-producer) and now two more names have come along.
Sienna Miller and Brendan Fraser will lend their skills to the film, which will find Long playing a writer who embellishes his profile in order to meet a girl online, only to have to try to live up to the high standards he’s set for himself in real life when she begins to fall for him. It all sounds fairly standard, but with this cast involved, and with Long's part in getting the script together, we're hoping the project takes a new tack on the rom-com.
For both Miller and Fraser, it might seem like they've been out of the game for a while, but both have a plethora of projects on the horizon. For Miller, she's got the dramedy "Hippie Hippie Shake," Nick Cassavetes' drug tale "Yellow," "Two Jacks" and the Hitchcock biopic project "The Girl" (in which she plays Tippi Hedren) all coming. As for Fraser, he's been knocking out a string of indie flicks including Terry George's fish robbery thing "Whole Lotta Sole," the Vanessa Hudgens drama "Gimme Shelter" and Mike Figgis' "Seconds Of Pleasure."
"A Case Of You" is currently in front of cameras, and while there is no release date, we wouldn't be shocked to find this at Sundance next year. [Variety]
