Got a Tip?

‘Slice’ Trailer: Chance The Rapper Gets Framed

On November 18th, Chance The Rapper will off more than his rap skills when he takes the stage as the host of “Saturday Night Live.” That appearance will give us our first real taste of Chance The Actor, before he stars in his own film, “Slice.”

Last Halloweeen, A24 dropped a surprise teaser for the movie, which first alerted us to its existence, and today they’ve done it again. Shot on the sly in Chicago, the horror film stars Chance The Rapper, who plays an enigmatic outlaw framed for a killing spree that targets unsuspecting pizza delivery boys. Werewolves may also be involved in the film which has “Atlanta” star Zazie Beetz, comic actor Paul Scheer, and “Eyes Of My Mother” and “The OA” thesp Will Brill in supporting roles. Behind the camera is Austin Vesely, who has directed multiple videos for Chance The Rapper including “22 Offs,” “Brain Cells,” “Juice,” “Sunday Candy,” and “Angels.”

“Slice” will land in cinemas in 2018, but I’d guess it’ll stop by Sundance and/or SXSW first.
