'Solar Opposites' Trailer: Holy Shlorp! Hulu Delivers The First Taste of The New Season Two Craziness

Holy Shlorp! Get a taste of the craziness of “Solar Opposites” season two with the official trailer of the all-new season. Last year, the adult animated comedy series “Solar Opposites,” co-created by Justin Roiland (“Rick & Morty“) and Mike McMahan (ex-writer’s assistant on “Rick & Morty”), really took the mature, strange and wacky animated world by storm. Clearly influenced by the model, style, and humor of “Rick & Morty” whence the creators came from, the series centered around a team of four aliens, voiced by Justin Roiland, Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone, and Mary Mack, who escaped their exploding homeworld only to crash land into a move-in-ready home in suburban America.

The show was originally created for Fox, then shelved, then bought by Hulu. And things have worked out because even ahead of season two, the series has been already greenlit for a season three. Here’s the official synopsis, but suffice to say things get crazier in season two.

Co-created by Justin Roiland (Rick & Morty) and Mike McMahan (ex-writer’s assistant on Rick & Morty), Solar Opposites centers around a team of four aliens who escape their exploding homeworld only to crash land into a move-in ready home in suburban America. They are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo (Justin Roiland) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love humans and all their TV, junk food, and fun stuff. Their mission: protect the Pupa, a living super-computer that will one day evolve into its true form, consume them and terraform the Earth. In season two of Solar Opposites, the Solar Opposites take it bigger, funnier, and more opposite than ever before. Solar Opposites is executive produced by Roiland, McMahan, and Josh Bycel. The series is produced by 20th Television.

“Solar Opposites” returns with 8 all-new episodes Friday, March 26, only on Hulu. Watch the new trailer below.
