'Stranger Things 4' Teaser Trailer: The Gang Finally Returns This Summer

After multiple production delays due to the pandemic, “Stranger Things 4” is finally getting ready to debut on Netflix, and the streaming service has released a brand new teaser trailer. The footage reveals that the gang is planning to get together during Spring Break of 1986 as Eleven and the Byers family have moved to California and seemingly will return to Hawkins.

A previous teaser trailer revealed a spooky house in Hawkins that might connect to the Upside Down, but this new one seems to want to give us a glimpse of the unique California setting.

Despite the Spring Break angle, the show won’t be debuting until the summer, as the official Twitter account revealed alongside the season four episode titles. However, it’s unclear when season three debuted in the summer of July 2019, which could hint when Netflix could release the show. A longer wait than we had initially expected.

The following episode titles might give some clues of what to expect in the new season: “The Hellfire Club,” “Vecna’s Curse,” “The Monster & The Superhero,” “Dear Billy,” “The Nina Project,” “The Dive,” “The Massacre At Hawkins Lab,” “Papa,” and “The Piggyback.” “The Hellfire Club” is an obvious nod to the “X-Men” villains from the comic book.

The Duffer Brothers have already confirmed a fifth season during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, as the show won’t end just yet. Considering the extended shoot on the latest season, we’ll likely have to wait a little longer to learn about their season five plans.

“Season four won’t be the end. We know what the end is, and we know when it is. [The pandemic] has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story,” Ross Duffer told THR in August 2020.

It’s also possible we could end up getting “Stranger Things” spinoffs in the future. Watch the new teaser below.
