‘Such Brave Girls’ Trailer: Kat Sadler's Dysfunctional Family Comedy Series Premieres On Hulu On December 15

They’re vain, selfish, heavily in debt, pathologically desperate for affection and bursting with misplaced, terrifying love. So goes the tagline for “Such Brave Girls,” premiering on Hulu next Friday. And Hulu has every case for snagging the US distribution rights to this BBC Three comedy about a dysfunctional family: it’s an A24 co-production, has sterling reviews out of the gate, and may be the breakout UK comedian Kat Sadler has been waiting for.

And “Such Brave Girls” hits close to home for Sadler. She co-stars alongside her real-life sister, Lizzie Davidson, in the series as two sisters who need each other even though they drive each other crazy.

Dysfunctional family sitcom following sisters Josie and Billie and their single mother Deb navigating life armed with nothing but poor judgement and self-esteem exclusively tied to people who couldn’t care less about them. They’re vain, selfish, heavily in debt, pathologically desperate for affection and bursting with misplaced, terrifying love.

Along with Sadler and Davidson, “Such Brave Girls” also stars Louise Brealey, Paul Bazely, Freddie Meredith, Jude Mack, and Sam Buchanan. Sadler writes and creates the series, with Simon Bird directing all six episodes. The series is a VAL/A24 co-production for BBC Three and BBC iPlayer. Executive producers on the series include Jack Bayles and Phil Clarke, with BBC Director of Comedy Jon Petrie commissioning the series. Gregor Sharp is the show’s commissioning editor.
