Sure, many film fans might know Peter Jackson best from his time directing numerous ‘Lord of the Rings’ films. But if you’re a fan of his earlier work (such as “Braindead” and “Bad Taste“), you know Jackson got his start in the horror genre and knows a thing or two about creative scares. So, when the filmmaker is outspoken about a new horror film, fans should heed his words.

In a statement on News Hub, Peter Jackson raved about the new horror film from A24, “Talk to Me.” The film is earning rave reviews dating back to its debut at this year’s Sundance. Now, upon its release, it’s earning quite a bit of money at the box office, and the studio has already announced plans for a sequel.
Jackson begins by calling the Philippou Brothers’ film “relentlessly scary and disturbing – in the best possible way”
He added, “‘Talk To Me’ isn’t just good – it’s very very good. The best, most intense, horror movie I’ve enjoyed in years.”
“Talk to Me” tells the story of a group of teens who decide to conduct a seance through the use of a severed hand they found. As you might expect from that very creepy setup, things don’t go well for the kids. There’s no word yet on the exact plot for the sequel, but horror fans are excited to see what the Philippou twins come up with next. And clearly, Jackson is one of those people excited.
