‘Teacup’ Trailer: Yvonne Strahovski Leads James Wan’s New Thriller Peacock Series

Peacock’s upcoming original horror thriller series “Teacup” held its world premiere in Austin, TX, today at the largest genre film and television festival in the U.S., Fantastic Fest. To kick off the event, attendees at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar were treated to a first look at the official trailer ahead of the screening of episode one, “Think About The Bubbles,” and episode two, “My Little Lighthouse.” A special video message from actress and producer Yvonne Strahovski played in-room, followed by an aQ&A with showrunner, executive producer, and writer Ian McCulloch and actors Scott SpeedmanChaske SpencerCaleb DoldenEmilie Bierre, and Rob Morgan, who discussed the making of the series, their characters, and what audiences can expect for the rest of the twisted season.

From filmmaker James Wan’s Atomic Monster productions centers on a small town and its residents that become trapped by a monster. “Teacup” stars Yvonne Strahovski (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), Scott Speedman (“Animal Kingdom”), Chaske Spencer, Kathy Baker, Boris McGiver, Caleb Dolden, Emilie Bierre, and Luciano Leroux. 

“Teacup” is based on the novel “Stinger” by Robert McCammon.

Here’s the official synopsis:

TEACUP follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive—inspired by the New York Times bestselling novel Stinger by Robert McCammon. 

Written and executive produced by Ian McCulloch (“Yellowstone,” “Deputy,” “Chicago Fire”), E.L. Katz (“The Haunting of Bly Manor,” “Channel Zero”) directed the first two episodes.

“Teacup” exec producers include James Wan (The Conjuring Universe, Archive 81, M3GAN), Michael Clear (Archive 81, Swamp Thing) and Rob Hackett (Archive 81, I Know What You Did Last Summer) for Atomic Monster, Francisca X. Hu, Kevin Tancharoen.
